Navigating Fear of Holiday Binge Eating with Compassion and Awareness

The Holidays can bring up a whole host of stressors and anxiety in all of us. But when you feel out of control with food and struggle with binge eating, it can be especially hard. Not only are there the holiday occasions filled with food but there’s the upfront anticipation and dread of what may come, as well as the turmoil that arises after an unwanted binge. It can ruin the entire holiday season.

Today I’m joined by Jane Pilger, a binge eating specialist to discuss these challenges and provide practical strategies to prepare for, and navigate within the maze that is the holiday season to come out with the tools and strategies to support you all year.

We'll explain the importance of setting intentions, understanding personal triggers, and fostering a supportive structure rather than rigid rules. At the root of it is developing a mindset of connection and self-compassion for deep and lasting results.

Jane Pilger

Jane empowers women who feel out of control around food to develop food freedom and body trust. She helps women who have been struggling, often for decades, to find the missing link to go from fighting with their bodies to working with them.

Whether you are a binge eater, someone who doesn't trust themselves with certain foods, or someone who just doesn't understand why they behave the way they do sometimes, she's got you. She will teach you how to understand your behavior, how to develop trust with yourself and how to cultivate the safety that you need to navigate life. Her approach is rooted in the science of the brain and body, trauma informed, and filled with compassion.
